If you have your period regularly  (one period every 25 to 35 days) and you have missed your period and sexually active, you may be pregnant.  Most over the counter pregnancy tests are very accurate, reliable, and expensive. If you have are already tested your self and it show that you are pregnant, in all likelihood you are pregnant. A negative pregnancy test in conjunction with a missed period does not mean that you are not pregnant.  A repeat pregnancy test must be done in approximately one week to assure that you are not pregnant and repeated until menstrual period is experienced.
